  1. I would just like to add that it is super important that the banana be liquified. No chunks. At all. The best way to achieve this is to use an overly ripe banana, peeled and sliced into several pieces. Place the slices into some cheese cloth (or other loosely woven fabric – old pantyhose are ideal) gather the corners to make a little bundle and start squeezing. The result will be a sort of banana juice or “milk”, very liquidy and creamy without the little banana fibers that never seem to wash out. A blender or food processor just can’t do this; it may look liquified, but, trust me, there are little banana chunks in there. And you don’t want those in your hair.
