Home Remedies for Healthy Hair:

Following are some of the best remedies that you may follow from your home itself to get healthy hair.

1 Banana (For Dry & Damaged Hair)

 Method – 1:

  • Take a banana & peel it off.
  • Take a bowl & Mash the banana with the help of fork or any other thing.
  • Apply that paste from top to bottom of the hair i.e., from root to tip.
  • Make sure that it covers the hair uniquely.
  • Leave it for about 15 minutes.
  • Wash it with shampoo.

Method – 2:

  • Take a banana, avocado/cocoa & coconut oil.
  • Mix it well to make a fine paste.
  • Apply it on your hair thoroughly.
  • Wait for about 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Wash your hair with shampoo.
  • This pack will condition the damaged hair & makes it softer.

Method– 3:

  • Take a banana & peel it
  • Add 1/4 cup of olive oil & one egg white.
  • Mix it well with the help of blender or mixture/grinder.
  • Wait for 2 – 3 minutes.
  • Apply it on your hair thoroughly.
  • Leave it for 15 minutes.
  • Wash your hair with shampoo & apply conditioner according to your hair type.

Note:

  1. Banana contains potassium, natural oils, carbohydrates & vitamins in high level, which helps to improve the hair to shine, softening the hair, preventing spilt ends, breakage & to grow healthy.

2 Using Egg Yolk

Method – 1:

  • Take 3-4 eggs in a bowl.
  • Carefully take the yellow portion of the egg in a bowl.
  • Beat the egg yellow to mix it in proper way.
  • Massage this on your Scalp.
  • Leave it for 10 minutes.
  • Rinse your hair with shampoo.
  • Repeat the process for at least once in a week for better results.

Method – 2 (For Dry Hair):

  • Take a bowl & add three egg yolks it & beat it well.
  • Mix it with 1 table spoon of Olive oil & three drops of Vitamin E.
  • Massage this paste on your scalp.
  • Leave it for about 10 – 15 minutes.
  • Rinse your hair & apply shampoo.
  • Do it regularly for better results.

Method – 3:

  • Take eggs according to the length of your hair.
  • Beat the egg properly.
  • Apply it on the wet hair.
  • Leave it for about 10 minutes.
  • Wash your hair with lukewarm water.
  • Shampoo your hair depending on your hair type.
  • Applying it on wet hair will give better results.
  • Repeat this process three to four times a week.

Method – 4:

  • Take one or two eggs & mix the yolk of eggs properly.
  • Take one tablespoon of any hair oil & two table spoons of water.
  • Mix it well & make it like a fine liquid.
  • Massage it on your scalp thoroughly.
  • Leave it for few minutes.
  • Rinse it off completely.
  • Do it once in a week to get thicker hair.

Method – 5:

  • Take 2 – 3 eggs & ½ cup of olive oil in a bowl.

  • Comb your hair before going to apply this on your hair.

  • Take an egg, one lemon & one cup of yogurt.
  • Beat the egg & squeeze the lemon in the yogurt.

3 Mayonnaise

Method – 1:

  • Take a small amount of Mayonnaise.

Method – 2:

  • Take full jar of Mayo & half of mashed Avocado.
  • Mix it well.
  • Apply it on your hair evenly from top to bottom.
  • Leave it for 20 minutes.
  • Rinse your hair with cold water.

4 Fenugreek Seeds

  • Take two to three tablespoons of Fenugreek seeds.
  • Soak it on water for about 8 to 10 hours.
  • Make it like a fine paste.

  • Leave it for about half an hour.
  • Wash your hair with Luke warm water.
  • Do it regularly for better results.

Method – 1:

  • Take one or two fresh Aloe Vera leaves.
  • Extract the gel from the leaves.

  • Rinse your hair with Luke warm water.
  • Shampoo your hair.

Method – 2:

  • Take fresh aloe vera gel in a bowl.
  • Mix it well with one egg & some brandy.
  • Apply this liquid on your scalp.
  • Leave it for 10 – 15 minutes.
  • Rinse your hair with shampoo.
  • Repeat this process once in a week to get healthier hair.

  • Leave it for overnight i.e., you have to apply this before going to bed.
  • Rinse your hair in the next morning.

Method – 2:

  • Take dried Indian goose berry or powdered Indian goose berry.
  • Mix it well in water.
  • Boil it for few minutes.
  • Allow the water to sit for overnight.
  • Next day you can use this water to wash your hair.

  • Take Orange peel in a bowl.

  • Repeat the process once in a week for hair to grow stronger.

Method – 2:

  • Take orange juice & apple puree in equal quantity.
  • Mix it well to make a fine paste.
  • Apply it on your hair.
  • Leave it for about 30 minutes.
  • Wash your hair with water.
  • Repeat this process once in a week to get thicker & longer hair.

Method – 3:

  • Take orange juice & olive oil in equal quantity.
  • Mix it well & warm it.
  • Apply this on your hair
  • Leave it for about 30 minutes.
  • Rinse our hair with water.

Note:

  • Orange contains vitamin C & critic acid which helps to remove the dandruff & make the hair to grow thicker.

  • Take two tablespoon of olive oil & half of avocado in mashed form.

  • Apply this hair mask on the wet hair i.e., freshly shampooed hair
  • Leave it for 20 minutes.
  • Wash your hair with water completely.
  • Apply conditioner depending upon your hair type.
  • Applying it immediately after taking shampoo to your hair will give better results.

9 Coconut Oil

Method – 1:

  • Take pure coconut oil (coconut oil which you use).
  • Heat the oil.
  • Massage your scalp & head with your finger tips in a circular motion.
  • Apply it thoroughly on your scalp.
  • After applying, cover it with towel /any cloth which is moisturized with warm water.
  • Leave it for 30 minutes.
  • Rinse your hair with shampoo.
  • Repeat the process for once in a week to get thicker hair.

Method – 2:

  • Take a chunk of coconut cream.
  • Take it in your hands & warm it.
  • When it becomes soft, Apply it on your hair.
  • Massage your hair with mixture from top to bottom.
  • Cover your applied hair with warm towel.
  • Leave it for one hour without disturbing it.
  • Rinse it off with mild shampoo.

  • Allow it to sit for about 3 hours.
  • Wash your hair completely.
  • Apply conditioner according to your hair type.

  • Take henna powder & mix it well with water.
  • Soak it for overnight.
  • Next day morning, add one egg & some lime juice to it.
  • Mix it well to make like a paste.
  • Apply it on your hair like a hair mask.
  • Leave it for 3 hours.
  • Wash your hair & apply conditioner.

11 Olive Oil

Method – 1:

  • Take Olive oil & massage it on your scalp properly in a circular motion before going to bed.
  • Leave it for overnight.
  • Next day morning wash your hair completely by using a mild shampoo.

Method – 2:

  • Take olive oil & a small amount of honey.
  • Mix it well.
  • Apply it on your hair thoroughly.
  • Leave it for about 30 minutes.
  • Wash your hair completely with shampoo.

Method – 3:

  • Take 1/2 cup of olive oil & 5 drops of frankincense essential oil.
  • Pour both olive oil & essential oil in a jar & place a lid on it.
  • Shake it well to mix both the oils properly.
  • Allow it to sit for about 24 hours in a cool dark place.
  • Rinse your hair with warm water before going to apply.
  • Warm the oil after shaking it.
  • Massage your hair gently with that oil with the help of your finger tips in circular motion.
  • Cover it with a plastic bag/cap.
  • Leave it for about 30 minutes.
  • Rinse it off with shampoo.

  • Take three table spoons of flax seed in a bowl.
  • Add water to it.

Method – 2 (with Banana & Honey):

  • Take 3 ripe bananas, three tablespoons of honey, two table spoons of Yogurt & one table spoon of milk.
  • Blend these ingredients with the help of blender or mixture.
  • Rinse your hair with warm water before going to apply.
  • Pat it lightly to remove excess water.
  • Massage this paste on your scalp thoroughly.
  • Leave it for about an hour.
  • Cover your hair with a plastic cap.
  • Rinse your hair with shampoo & apply conditioner according to your hair type.

Method – 3:

  • Take a ripe banana & mash it.
  • Add one table spoon of honey & one table spoon of lime juice.
  • Mix it well & make a fine creamy paste.
  • Apply it on your hair but focus on your roots.
  • Leave it for about an hour.
  • Rinse it completely with water.
  • Apply shampoo & conditioner.

Method – 4:

  • Take one banana, half cup of milk, honey & olive oil.
  • Peel off the banana & cut it into small pieces & place it in a bowl.
  • Pour the milk in the bowl.
  • Now with the help of crusher make it like a fine paste.
  • Add two table spoons of olive oil & two spoons of honey.
  • Mix it well to form a paste.
  • Apply this paste from top to bottom i.e., from scalp to roots.
  • Leave it for few minutes.
  • Wash it off with shampoo.

Method – 5:

  • Take a banana & almond oil.
  • Mash the banana properly.
  • Add about three drops of almond oil.
  • Mix it well to make a fine paste.
  • Allow it to sit for about 25 minutes.
  • Rinse your hair as usually.
  • For better results, repeat the process for twice in a month.

16 Multani Mitti

Method – 1 (For Dry hair):

  • Take 4 table spoons of multani mitti, 1/2 cup of plain yogurt, juice of half lemon & two teaspoons of honey
  • Mix all the above items to make a fine paste.
  • Apply this as a pack on your hair.
  • Leave it for few minutes.
  • Rinse it off with shampoo & apply conditioner

Method – 2 (for Oily Hair):

  • Take multani mitti in a bowl according to your hair size.
  • Mix it well with water & soak it for at least 3 – 4 hours.
  • Before 30 – 40 minutes of applying this on your hair, just add one or two tablespoons of reetha powder in the paste & mix it well.
  • Apply it on your hair & massage it properly.
  • Leave it for about 5 – 10 minutes.
  • Wash it off with shampoo.
  • You will get a silky & healthy hair.

Note:

  1. Multani Mitti is an effective hair cleanser & it removes toxins/impurities from the scalp which reduces dandruff problem.
  2. It facilitates blood circulation & conditions the hair, when it is applied.

17 Lemon

  • Take 1/4 cup of sour cream, lemon juice from two lemons & 1/4 cup of wheat germ oil.
  • Mix all these things in a bowl to make a paste.
  • Apply it on your hair from top to bottom.
  • Leave it for 30 minutes.
  • Wash your hair with Luke warm water followed by shampoo & conditioner.

18 Curry leaves

  • Take fresh curry leaves & some coconut oil (as you use regularly)
  • Mix both the things.
  • Boil it until it starts black residue forming.
  • Apply this oil on your hair & massage it thoroughly.
  • Leave it for about overnight or for some time depending on yourself.
  • Wash it with water followed by shampoo & apply conditioner.
  • Repeat the process twice a week for healthier hair.

Note:

  1. Curry leaves are rich in beta carotene & proteins, this helps to prevent hair loss while proteins stop hair thinning.

20 Strawberry

  • Take a cup of straw berries, one egg yolk & two table spoons of olive oil.

  • Let it sit for 20 minutes.
  • Rinse it off with mild shampoo.

21 Vinegar

  • Take vinegar & honey in equal proportions i.e., 4 table spoons each.
  • Take 1/2 cup of warm water & add vinegar & honey in it.

  • Let it sit for about few minutes.
  • Wash it off with Luke warm water.
  • Apply shampoo & massage the roots gently.

22 Hibiscus Flower

  • Take hibiscus flowers & soak its petals in a cup of water.
  • Leave it for overnight.
  • Grind it to make fine paste.
  • Add 1/4 cup of extra virgin olive oil & 2 table spoons of raw milk.
  • Apply it to your hair but concentrate it on roots.
  • Leave it for about 20 minutes.
  • Rinse it off with cold water.

23 Curd

Method – 1:

  • Take half cup of curd, two tbsp of almond oil and one tbsp of Honey.
  • Mix all these things in a bowl.
  • Apply it on your scalp.
  • Leave it for 1 – 2 hours.
  • Rinse it well with normal water.
  • Apply shampoo on your hair.
  • Repeat this process for better results for Dry hair.

Method – 2:

  • Take a cup of yogurt/curd depending on the length of your hair.
  • Whip it in a bowl with the help of a fork.
  • Apply it on your scalp & hair.
  • Massage it evenly from root to bottom.
  • Allow it to sit for about 1 – 2 hours.
  • Rinse it off with Luke warm water & apply mild shampoo.
  • Apply conditioner if you wants.
  • Make sure to do this process on a day when you never go outside.

    1. In order to treat dry scalp and hair, you can apply coconut oil, olive oil or almond oil to the scalp and along the hair. Leave the application overnight. Rinse your hair normally in the morning. Apart from that, you have to drink plenty of water to hydrate the scalp and include fresh fruits and vegetables in your daily diet.
