skin tags home remediesAcrochorda, commonly known as skin tags, appear most frequently on the neck, armpits, groin, eyelids, chest, and inner thighs. Typically flesh-colored, they can be smooth or wrinkly and they vary in size. Composed of blood vessels and collagen fibers, skin tags are harmless and painless. The exact cause of skin tags is not known, but some theorize that they are caused by friction—rubbing from clothing, jewelry, or skin against skin. Other possible causes include heredity, human papillomavirus (HPV), obesity, diabetes, use of steroids, and hormonal changes.
