  3. I’m so starting to notice very large pores (blackheads) on my nose and chin. Uuuggghhhhh! I use a soap free and oil free cleanser then an oil free moisturizer with .5% salicylic acid moisturizer. I’ve added witch hazel (and sometimes add a drop of lavender essential oil) as a toner.

A few times a week, I add sugar to my cleanser as a facial scrub.

There are so many different opinions out there, about witch hazel, essential oils and sugars (as natural remedies).

I have combination skin, and the top of my nose is dry (maybe as I live in a dry climate), so should I even use the baking soda now?

    Thanks!

    1. For pores, you can combine lemon juice, honey and sugar in enough amounts to make scrub. Massage it on the nose and cheek for 5 minutes. Leave the application for 10 minutes and rinse off with water. Repeat the process 3 times in a week to reduce the pores. 5. I have slightly dark skin in my face alone when compared to my body and neck areas. My skin on face alone gets dark. Naturally by birth i have got a white skin but as when pimples came on my face at the age of 10 my face alone got darker and duller as i grow up. I have tried many things to get a fairer skin on my face. But nothing works out. Tell me the best idea to get instant and my real fairness on my face by using baking soda. Is that true that baking soda gives fairer and white skin……please give me any nice idea….to get instant fairness on my face

  6. I use the baking soda and water paste maybe once a month. Works really well to smooth my skin. After rinsing I use some well brewed and cooled Rooibos tea (slightly acidic) to correct my skins pH. I also use the Rooibos tea as a toner twice a day (I make a batch and freeze them into ice cubes and then just defrost as needed). My skin has improved greatly I think because of the antioxidants in the tea. Please note that I’m of Indian decent so the deep orange colour of the tea isn’t really noticeable on my skin so I’m not sure if it will stain the skin of people with lighter complexions
