1. Papaya

This process helps to provide a natural glow to your skin.

  • Smash a few pieces of papaya into a fine paste and apply over the skin.
  • Let it rest for 15 minutes then rinse it off with water.
  • Follow this 2 – 3 times a week.

2. Papaya with Honey

This combination brightens the skin, while also nourishing and hydrating it.

  • Blend 1 cup of chopped papaya pieces into a fine paste.
  • Add 1 tablespoon of honey and mix well.
  • Wash your skin and apply the paste.
  • Let it rest for 15 minutes and rinse it off with water.
  • You could also add 1 tablespoon aloe vera gel or lemon juice to the mixture.
  • Repeat this process daily.

3. Papaya with Milk

This combination works as a skin firming and anti-aging mask. It also helps to remove blemishes.

  • Blend 1 cup of papaya with 3 tablespoons of milk and apply over the skin
  • Let it rest for 20 minutes and rinse off with lukewarm water.
  • Or use curd instead of milk.
  • Repeat 2 – 3 times a day.

4. Papaya with Egg White

  • Separate an egg white from the yolk and whisk to make a stable foam.
  • Mash ½ cup of papaya pieces and add it to the egg white.
  • Whisk the mixture well and apply this to the skin, wash it after 20 minutes.
  • Use this mask 2 – 3 times a week.

5. Papaya with Cucumber and Banana

This combination makes a face pack which hydrates, exfoliates and softens the skin, and removes dark spots, scars and pigmentation.

  • Peel and chop 1/2 ripe papaya, 1/4 cucumber and 1/2 banana and blend to make a paste.
  • Apply over the skin and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  • Rinse off with lukewarm water followed by cold water.
  • Repeat this process 2 – 3 times a week.

6. Papaya with Orange Juice

  • Peel ¼ of a papaya and chop into small pieces.
  • Blend with 1 tablespoon orange juice.
  • Use your hands and apply this mixture over the skin.
  • Let it rest for 15 minutes before washing off with water.
  • Follow the method 2- 3 times a week.

7. Green Papaya with Vitamin E Oil and Yogurt

  • Blend 1 cup of chopped green papaya, 1 teaspoon each of vitamin oil and yogurt.
  • Apply this mixture over the skin and let it rest for 20 minutes.
  • Rinse off with lukewarm water followed by cold water.
  • For added benefits, add 1 tablespoon honey to the mixture.
  • Use this mixture 2 – 3 times a week.

8. Papaya with Sugar, Fresh Cream and Lemon Juice

This combination will hydrate, moisturize, exfoliate and lighten the skin effectively.

  • Blend 3 slices of ripe papaya, 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice, 2 teaspoons fresh cream and 1 teaspoon honey.
  • Add sugar and mix well.
  • Gently massage the paste over the skin in circular motions for 5 minutes.
  • Let it rest for 15 minutes and rinse it off with water.
  • Brown sugar can be used instead of white sugar.
  • Apply this pack at least 2 times a week.

9. Papaya with Bentonite Clay and Aloe Vera

In this combination, green clay unclogs blocked pores, aloe vera hydrates the skin and papaya lightens it.

  • Mix 1/2 cup ripe papaya pulp, 4 teaspoons bentonite clay and 1 1/2 teaspoon aloe vera gel.
  • Apply this paste over the skin and let it rest for 15 minutes.
  • Rinse it off with lukewarm water followed by cold water.
  • Use this method 3 times a week.

10. Papaya with Oatmeal and Almond Oil

Almond oil moisturizes the skin and oatmeal exfoliates to makes the skin white, soft and supple.

  • Mash a slice of papaya in to a paste.
  • Grind oats to make fine powder and mix these together with 1 teaspoon of almond oil.
  • Apply a small amount of the mixture over the skin and scrub gently.
  • After massaging for 2 – 3 minutes, rinse off with lukewarm water.
  • An essential oil of your choice can be used instead of almond oil.
  • Repeat this process 3 times a week.

11. Papaya with Pineapple

  • Blend 1/2 cup papaya pieces and 1 cup pineapple pieces.
  • Apply this mixture over the skin and let it rest for 15 minutes.
  • Wash off with water and pat the skin dry.
  • Or add 1 tablespoon honey to the mixture and follow the same process.
  • Repeat the process 3 times a week.

12. Papaya with Pumpkin and Egg

  • Blend 2/3 cup each of papaya and pumpkin.
  • Whisk 1 egg until it is foamy and light and mix in the fruit paste.
  • Apply over the skin and let it rest for 15 minutes.
  • Wash it off with water and pat the skin dry.
  • Follow the process 3 times a week.

13. Papaya and Sea Salt Scrub

  • Blend 1 cup of papaya pieces and mix in 1 cup of coarse sea salt.
  • During a bath, gently scrub this mixture over the skin for 5 minutes.
  • Let it rest for 15 minutes before cleaning off with water.
  • Repeat this process once a week.

The bleaching properties of tomato lighten the skin and papaya provides a natural glow.

  • Mix 4 tablespoons of papaya pulp and 2 tablespoons of fuller’s earth together.

  • Continue the process once a week.

  • Blend 1 cup each of avocado and papaya.
  • Add 1 teaspoon of olive oil and stir well.
  • Spread over the skin and let it rest for 20 minutes before washing off.
  • Continue the process 3 times a week.

17. Papaya with Sandalwood Powder

  • Blend 1/2 cup of papaya and add 1 teaspoon sandalwood powder.
  • Spread an even layer of the paste on the skin.
  • After 25 minutes, rinse it off with water.
  • Repeat the process 3 times a week.

18. Papaya with Almonds

  • Soak 5 almonds overnight and blend to a smooth paste in the morning.
  • Blend 1 cup of papaya pieces and combine with the almonds.
  • Apply over the skin and leave for 30 minutes.
  • Rinse with lukewarm water followed by cold water.
  • Repeat twice a week.

19. Papaya with Strawberry

  • Blend 4 pieces of papaya and 3 strawberries.

20. Papaya with Green Tea

This process helps to reduce sun tan and dark spots, while also rejuvenating and lightening the skin.

  • Steep 1 tea bag of green tea in hot water for 5 – 7 minutes.
  • Remove the tea bag and let the water cool down.
  • Blend 1 cup papaya to a smooth paste and combine with the tea.

21. Papaya Leaves

  • Grind papaya leaves and strain them to extract the juice.
  • Apply over the skin and let it dry completely.
  • Wash off with lukewarm water followed by cold water.

22. Homemade Papaya Soap

  • Blend one cup of papaya pieces to a smooth paste.
  • Melt 4 cubes of melt and pour soap base in double boiler or microwave for 20 seconds.
  • Combine the two and pour this mixture in soap moulds and set aside for 3 hours.
  • Use this soap daily.

Tips and Precautions:

  • Avoid papaya if you are allergic to latex.
  • Use only the pulp of the papaya and discard its skin.
  • Raw papaya contains more papain enzyme, people with sensitive skin should avoid this.
  • Consuming papaya can also help.
